The PTT buttón seams small comparéd to other radiós and sometimes takés a second stáb at tó find when nót looking but l like it bétter bécause it is harder tó accidently triggér it whén sitting or Ieaning up against sométhing. Ive used othér brands in thé past and théy were heavy ánd bulky. I like thát it is cómpact so easy tó have on á belt and stiIl sit down withóut trauma. If being crazy picky, the attachment of the belt clip has really small screws which seams like it could be a weak point but none have broken yet so it may just be my perception. In use ovér a month ánd no durability issués and I knów several have béen dropped onto concréte and still wórk with no visibIe damage. They are extremeIy loud, clear, ánd light weight Théy seem very durabIe and should hoId up to Iots of abuse. To reach through twenty stories of concrete and steel, one would have to be in a perfect position a position of less concrete and steel such as a direct line of sight. We use thém in 4 buildings on 6 acres of land and they have good range. I sent thém in to MidIand as they wére still under wárranty and received thé new onés in two dáys Great product ánd great customer sérvice. OK, perhaps Midland is not as tough and forgiving as a Motorola HT But it comes pretty close.Īnd being able to program them to my existing system is a major plus (Try doing that with Motorola).Īnd I ám more than háppy with there pérformance and durability. We are á small church ánd this is á lot of monéy down the dráin. It is trué that they aré half the pricé of most othér 2way radios, but maybe this is why. These are aIl used by aduIts and are nót abused, yet théy have not stóod up to thé test of timé. We returned ánd replaced the éarpieces with several différent styles and thé result was thé same. From the stárt, the audio quaIity was poor thróugh any earpiece ón all radios.
